Membership access can only be booked via enquiry and we have a long waiting list. Please get in touch to register your interest and please specify your skill level, desired daily plan, and how many months you would like to book for. We will then get back to you with our next possible availability. You can book up to 6 months upfront and we recommend doing so since spaces are limited.
-
Studio rental attendees should have completed at least one 5 week course (preferably two) for unassisted access.
Since this is a self directed experience, no tutoring or assistance is included. The attendee must feel comfortable using the facilities without help.
Anyone signing up to monthly studio access needs to book in for an initial 45 minute induction to the facilities prior to starting.
-
We will have a member of staff on hand to oversee open studio sessions that is not teaching. If you need assistance, please ask them and not one of our tutors that is teaching.
Lessons will be running whilst you are using the studio.
No studio visits are permitted for friends & family unless agreed upon beforehand.
The studio is not a safe environment for pets or children.
Please avoid talking loudly with other members whilst a demonstration is taking place as our tutors and other members need to concentrate.
The studio will be open between the selected hours of your access plan and the attendee can come and go as they please within that time - it does not matter when you arrive. The space needs to be cleaned and returned by the end of your session, so we advise at least half an hour for cleanup.
All tools and equipment must be wiped down and cleaned appropriately and the floor space under your wheel mopped after use.
All firing will be completed by the studio tutors - open studio access does not include unassisted access to the kiln.
We only permit the use of our own clay in our studio. This is to avoid cross contamination of different clay bodies with our class clay and the risk of earthenware being accidentally fired in our kiln to mid temp. You can purchase clay directly from us for £13 per bag.
Monthly studio use includes the use of our studio glazes. No other glazes can be brought into the studio without a prior discussion.
We advise you not to keep making wet work if your shelving space is full unless you wish to get rid of it! The monthly access is designed to mimic the 5 week course and we recommend following this rough structure to ensure your pieces are seen through to completion.
-
Monthly membership access is booked via enquiry within a private booking system. If you are interested, please let us know your preferred access plan and payment plan and we will get back to you with availability.
Monthly members can book up to 6 months at a time.
We do not offer reschedules or refunds for any date of your membership plan that you are unable to attend.
You can suspend your membership for a minimum of one month, a maximum of six if you have plans that effect your access.
If you complete your monthly access period and wish to extend this but the following months are booked up - you must collect your work regardless.
